The National Heritage Centre, opened in November 2016 offers a great day out for groups. The five acre site in the heart of Newmarket comprises a museum, art gallery, live horses, special exhibitions, restaurant and shop. The new heritage site has been redeveloped in the palace and stables originally built for Charles II.
To make the most out of your visit don’t miss:
• Daily demonstrations in the Peter O’Sullevan Arena – every day at 11am and 2.30pm there are
demonstrations from the former racehorses that highlight how they are retrained.
•Interactive multimedia and audio guide
•The Tack Room Restaurant and Bakery – our onsite restaurant serving delicious local home cooked food throughout the day. BOOK TO AVOID DISSAPOINTMENT.
•Temporary Exhibitions – make sure you check our website to see what exciting exhibition we have on for your visit!
•Our racehorse simulator in the King’s Yard Galleries – you can experience the thrill of riding a race and dress up as a jockey!
•Our touch screen interactives in the National Horseracing Museum – see how your skeleton compares to a horses and see if you can create a champion racehorse!
•Meet the racehorses in the Rothschild Yard – get up close to the heroes of the sport, they are very friendly and love a pat.
