Now able to boast being one of the most successful provincial theatres of its size, it can seat 600 at capacity. The theatre is ranked on TripAdvisor, as the Number 1 ‘Things to Do’ in Torquay as well as the Number 1 venue under Theatres and Performances in Torquay.

This 2022 season enjoy up to two, 5-star shows, Starlight on Tuesdays & Wednesdays or Don’t Stop The Music on Thursdays, both run weekly at 8.15pm until October. From the end of October, with weekly matinee & evening performances until 1st January 2023 you can expect to enjoy the festive show, that promises to be a gift worth opening this yuletide season.

With two casts, currently wowing audiences, and achieving regular standing ovations, if you are an event’s organiser or coach operator you can be confident in the knowledge that your excursion will prove to be a success amongst your group.

Groups can be as small as 6 and up to 100+, albeit for larger groups, prebooking is essential.

The Theatre Manager, Marie Chapman oversees group bookings, she will be happy to address queries either by telephone or email. Her email is, boxoffice@matpro-show.biz, and the number is 01803 328385. The box office opening hours are variable but are always posted on the venue’s website as are all show details - www.babbacombe-theatre.com

Most of the coaching hotels in Torquay & Paignton do have a designated theatre night and a representative. Group organisers and/or drivers can liaise with their hotel and the representative to confirm bookings on the week they are visiting. Much of the time the venue can accommodate all requests for tickets but there may be some weeks, because of high visitor numbers, some groups cannot be accommodated, hence prebooking with Marie is probably the safest way to ensure you get your group booked in.

For 2023, the variety productions will follow a similar pattern, opening in February, running weekly to October, with the festive show opening the last week in October and staged until 1st January 2024 inclusive.
