Forty Hall

Forty Hall is a Grade 1 Listed Jacobean Manor House, nestled amidst an idyllic landscape in Enfield, North London.

Step into the Hall to admire the fine architecture and stunning period rooms. Enjoy learning about the history of Forty Hall Estate through the ages and about the life of original owner Sir Nicholas Rainton. The permanent exhibition offers a range of visual and audio interpretation and displays so there are ample ways for all of the family to engage with learning about the Hall.

A range of guided tours are available for special interest groups which add value to the visit and further understanding of the Hall’s history. Tours can be themed according to interests of the group so contact us for further information.

 

Why not explore the gardens and parkland whilst you are here! The Grade II listed estate is a rare example of an intact 18th Century Landscape, with an Ornamental lake, medieval fishing ponds and streams, a walled garden, Pleasure grounds, Georgian and Victorian flora and fauna, lakes, lawns, and meadows.

 

Remember to visit the Gift Shop, located in the ground floor overlooking the back lawn, to pick up a memorable souvenir from your visit.
