Royal Albert Hall Tours
Located in South Kensington, the Royal Albert Hall is one of the capital’s most iconic and treasured landmarks and tourist attractions. Since its opening by Queen Victoria in 1871, it has been the scene of over 150,000 performances spanning every genre including the world-class BBC Proms. The best way to explore the Hall is to join the Hall’s enthusiastic and engaging tour guides on a one-hour guided tour which departs from Door 12 daily. Among the tours on offer are the Grand Tour, Secret History Tour, Inside Out Architectural Tour, Story of the Proms Tour and the Behind the Scenes Tour.
All tours cover the auditorium, the Gallery, the Queen’s private suites and retiring room and can be combined with coffee, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner in one of the Hall’s eateries. As the Royal Albert Hall is a working building, each tour can vary slightly depending on which areas are in use and may include opportunities to see performers rehearsing ready for their evening performances.
