Unforgettable Group Visits at Leeds Castle

Nestled within 500 acres of Kentish countryside and rising majestically from its moat, Leeds Castle has been entertaining and amazing visitors for centuries. Open all year round, the estate offers a richly varied programme tailored specifically for groups of 15 or more. Whether you're planning a coach trip for a social club, a history society outing, or simply a memorable day together with friends, the hardest part will be deciding what to experience first.

Tours to Remember

For those who want to delve into the Castle's remarkable story, a Private Guided Tour is the perfect choice. Led by an expert Leeds Castle guide, these immersive tours take place outside normal opening hours; a wonderfully exclusive way to explore the magnificent state rooms before the day's visitors arrive. Available in English, French, German and Dutch and lasting approximately one hour, they offer an intimate encounter with nearly 900 years of history. Groups can also add a multimedia guide to their visit, available in nine languages, for an informative self-guided journey around the Castle at their own pace. All tours are pre-bookable only.

Something for Everyone

The Leeds Castle experience extends well beyond the Castle walls. Groups can pre-book an up-close Meet the Owls session, an exclusive 30-minute encounter with some of the estate's most beautiful birds of prey, with the chance to ask questions, take photos, and even stroke an owl. Garden lovers can delight in a private Garden Tour led by the Castle's expert horticultural team, uncovering the secrets of its beautifully preserved historic grounds. For something truly indulgent, the Tea & Talks packages pair a fascinating talk, covering topics such as High Society Secrets, the Leading Ladies of Leeds Castle, and the Castle's rich filming history, with a cream tea or full afternoon tea for up to 40 guests.

New for 2026

Groups visiting this year can also experience Pilgrimage of Love: Eleanor of Castile, a groundbreaking exhibition celebrating the life of Leeds Castle's first female owner. Running until November 2026, the exhibition explores her politically astute marriage to Edward I, her travels on crusade, and her influence on the English court, culminating in an extraordinary audience with Eleanor herself via the UK's first historical AI queen.

A Vibrant Calendar of Events

Throughout the year, Leeds Castle's exciting seasonal programme gives groups even more to look forward to. Highlights include the Queen's Joust in May, Motors by the Moat in August, a Sculpture Trail from August to October, and the much-loved Fireworks Spectacular in November. The festive season brings Christmas at the Castle, with beautifully decorated interiors, enchanting live characters, and magical seasonal experiences.
